Happy Mother's Day

This is my new kayak I had planned to debut today. I was sick instead, but I can't wait to get it out on the lake!

Ben's first sandbox experience. He loved it and played for about two hours! Will says he's a natural outdoors!

All smiles in the sandbox

Just diggin' in the dirt

At least they all had a wonderful day...that's what matters!

Our First Dance Recital

Fancy Footwork!

Good job, Emma!

Now that's steppin'

Emma was a little ham. She came out smiling and they actually had to walk her off of the stage at the end. I think she liked being at the center of the audience's attention. Kate doesn't seem to care as much for dance and frequently tells me she wants to stay home, but she was a trooper for the recital and they both did an awesome job!

Two Little Gymnasts!

I think I can do that too!

A balancing act.

Notice there is no spotter here. Kate slipped in a little extra action while waiting on the next task. Pretty good for a two year old!

This was at the end when Kate was scolded for not sitting while the others finished their routines...that's my Kate! She went first out of her group and didn't miss a step. In fact, she added a few. I think she enjoys the freedom of gym moreso than the rigid dance routines.

Emma stretching it out!

Emma on the rings!

They both did a wonderful job at their first gym showing!

Our First Fish!

Kate made a deal this morning. She would go to church, if she could go fishing when we got out!...she is her daddy's child. She caught her first fish and within minutes, Emma did too! Way to go girls. Those are pretty nice brim. I wasn't so sure that the Dora and Spongebob rod and reels would work, but they actually reeled them in all by themselves.

Dancing Debut at Arts Alive!

This was their first dance in front of a crowd. They didn't seem to be bothered by it. You can see Emma is getting her groove on...she didn't miss a beat...I might even venture to say she was the best one out there. Kate danced too, albeit to the beat of her own drum. At least she's got rhythm. I was very proud and relieved considering she typically plays with her shoelaces at dance.

They were pink poodles dancing to "How Much is that Doggie in the Window?"
Priceless!

They were especially proud of their pink tails.

What Fun!

SC Aquarium in Charleston

Kate and Emma were checking out a snake. There was a man holding a snake there also for kids to touch. They were totally uninterested and informed him they were not supposed to play with snakes...Mommy was very proud, they actually listened...or maybe it was instinct.

There was a little dispute regarding who was the captain of this ship.
